New MOTOTRBO Earpieces

Motorola has announced two new earpieces for the MOTOTRBO series. The Motorola PMLN6129 and Motorola PMLN6130. These parts will replace the RLN5882 and RLN5883. Both earpieces are part of the IMPRES 2-wire surveillance kits with translucent tubes and a programmable button.

FCC Narrowbanding Mandates Coming Soon

The FCC narrowbanding mandate is fast approaching. It goes into effect on January 1, 2013. If you have not already updated, you may be subject to fines by the FCC of up to $16,000 per day. In addition, it may be difficult to repair existing radio equipment or purchase new two way radio equipment as all manufacturers will be subject to the new law.

Motorola HT1550 XLS Cancellation Notice

The Motorola HT1550 XLS is being cancelled. The last date to place an order for this radio is May 30, 2009. Recommended replacements for the HT1550 XLS are the Motorola HT1250 and the MOTOTRBO XPR6550. The major difference between the Motorola HT1250 and the MOTOTRBO XPR6550 are the digital features available with the MOTOTRBO series.
