The APX 8000XE offers unlimited mobility and uncompromising performance with a 4-in-1 radio that offers the clearest, loudest audio, seamless Wi-Fi connectivity, and limitless interoperability in a single device. Extreme features on this XE model include: extra-large buttons for ergonomic use with gloves, ability to withstand up to 500-degree temperatures, clear in-mask communication based on SCBA, MSA and Scott Safety standards, UL Class 1, Div 1 certified; plus interoperability with the XE500 remote speaker microphone. With multi-mode system access across 700/800 MHz, VHF, and UHF Range 1 & 2 bands, the APX 8000XE uses analog MDC 1200 or digital P25 mode, conventional or trunked operation, as well as SmartNet or SmartZone legacy systems. Wireless WiFi functionality allows for quicker firmware, software, and codeplug updates. Adaptive audio engine provides better voice clarity in any environment. Multiple hardware encryption algorithms and radio authentication protocols keep sensitive information protected from scanners and eavesdroppers.
