The NNTN4497 is the highest capacity lithium ion battery available for the CP series radios. It doesn't accrue a memory and it will allow for 12+ hours of talk time per charge. Charging only takes 90 min. and it's light weight. This should be the only CP battery you should ask for.

The NNTN4497 is the standard battery that comes with the CP200d. At 2250 mAh, you'd be hard pressed to find a commercial grade radio come with a better capacity battery. Plus it is a lithium-Ion chemistry(Li-ion) battery which means it will last longer than other batteries with a different chemistry such as Nickle Cadmium (Ni-Cad) and Nickle Metal Hydride (NiMH). Most of the NNTN4497 batteries will typically last you around three years. In the event one goes bad within the first year of purchase, no sweat. It can be replaced under it's 1 year warranty period. This battery can also be used with the older, discontinued CP200 and PR400 models as well.

The capacity for this battery is nice at 2250 mAh. In many cases the battery will last till the next day after a normal 8 hour shift. Being that it is a High Capacity, it is nice that it comes standard with the CP200D. Also it being Lithium Ion, it is much lighter that the old Nickel Cadmium batteries.
